OnePlus Q1 Pro TV: As Hot As it Appears
Was it a shock for you when you heard about the OnePlus TVs that hit the floors just the last year? Well, it was for me, honestly. After excelling at the smartphone section, OnePlus has finally pulled the strings in the TV segment as well (not in a secret way though) and these smart TVs are surprisingly good.
So here, I thought I should inform you about the new OnePlus Q1 Pro TV which is not only good, it is quite affordable as well. Yes, nobody could have predicted that while it delivers mid-range smartphones, OnePlus would come out with budget segment TVs. And recently, I heard the brand unveiling a smart TV in India which when converted to USD, was just 175 bucks in cost. A mere $175 for a smart TV. Would you believe it? The shack continues, at least when a brand like OnePlus is concerned.
But let us dive into some of the technical details of this smart TV, so that you get a better idea of what this is about.
OnePlus Q1 Pro TV Technical Details:
Display: It has a 55-inch display with 3840x2160 of display resolution, 60Hz screen refresh rate and the VA-type is QLED. Plus there is 120% NTSC coverage with local dimming and Dolby Vision support
Sound: 50W 2.1 motorized sound bar, 8 speakers, Dolby Atmos support
Dimensions: The smart TV measures about 1223.7mm x 207.5mm x 795mm with stand.
Weight: The overall weight of the TV(with stand) is about 24.2kg.
SoC: This smart TV is powered by MediaTek MT5887 chipset with is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and having 4x ARM Cortex-A53 cores. There is a Mali-G51 GPU as well supporting the graphics.
Memory: Would be believe that the smart TV supports 8GB of internal storage and has 2.5GB RAM.
Connectivity Features: Some of the major connectivity features in the smartphone include 4x HDMI 2.0 (HDMI2 eARC), a composite input, an optical out, 3x USB (1x USB-A 3.1, 1x USB-A 2.0, 1x USB-C), RF and it also supports Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Software: The smart TV runs on Android 9.0 and supports OxygenPlay launcher, Google Play support, Chromecast built-in, and Google Assistant as well.
Accessories: What is available inside the TV box aside the TV is a Remote, an instruction manual, a power cord, an AV adapter, USB-C cable, a wall-mount bracket, and a warranty card.
Other Miscellaneous Features: You can install the OnePlus Connect app to control the TV through your smartphone.
Out of the technical details, as per the reviews by the people, the smart TV has a gorgeous display and with features to adjust backlight intensity, contrast, brightness, gamma, sharpness, color saturation, and color tint. A few image enhancement options such as adaptive contrast, local dimming, random noise reduction, MPEG noise reduction, smooth gradation, and motion interpolation.
And I should not forget describing the sound quality. There is an integrated sound bar that slides out the bottom. You witness six drivers on the front, out of which four are woofers and the other two are tweeters, and there are two subwoofers on the back as well. The OnePlus Q1 Pro Smart TV supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD audio formats.
