MediaTek needs no flashy prologues and you might be acquainted that as of now, around 2 billion products across the world use MediaTek processors in them. Well, this is not a surprise anymore because most of the Amazon and Google smart products with voice assistants have MediaTek processors powering them and these are present in almost every smart device that you have in your home.

However, all these smart products aside, there is a huge rivalry among these processor brands in the smartphone segment. Besides MediaTek, even Qualcomm, Huawei and Samsung etc. processors are looking to capture most of the world’s market and yet not many of them are successful.

However, MediaTek has now created its own identity after the launch of MediaTek Dimensity 5G processors and MediaTek Dimensity 1000C is one of them. This is a mid-range chipset with powerful features and is expected to do really well in smartphones. And interestingly, you may find this chipset in the US market inside T-Mobile’s LG Velvet 5G smartphone that was launched a couple of months ago.

Let us know some of the most amazing features of this smart 5G chipset by MediaTek:

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000C SoC is 7nm in size and is octa-core in CPU structure. It features 4 Arm-Cortex-A77 CPU cores and another 4 Arm Cortex-A55 cores operating up to 2GHz. Talking about the GPU section, there are 5 Arm Mali-G57 GPU cores which means avid gamers can have powerful graphics in their smartphone. The chipset has a really responsive storage performance because of the ultra-fast LPDDR4X that has a storage capacity of up to 12GB and contains one of the latest UFS 2.2 storage.

One of the latest features in this SoC is the support for AV1 video hardware decoding which is helpful with Netflix and YouTube video streams. You would have already heard this feature enables the latest gen streaming media with newer levels of visual detail, crisp sound, and higher resolutions. Plus, it also saves a lot of battery on your smartphone.

The world is moving very fast towards adopting dual-screen, split-screen, rolling screen, and foldable screen etc. smartphones and I guess MediaTek already had an idea about it. No doubt, this is the reason why the MediaTek Dimensity 1000C chipset is capable of powering dual independent displays in the latest smartphones that flip or fold. Besides, it can support amazing 120Hz single displays up to FHD+ resolution for smooth and responsive experiences while gaming.

The smart processor can support up to 4 concurrent cameras with a max of 64MP sensors and this allows the smartphone manufacturers to lure the customers with an amazing camera setup. Besides, it also allows up to 32MP + 16MP dual-camera setup at 30 fps high resolution cameras and supports real-time video bokeh with help of powerful APU 3.0.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000Cprocessor is capable of allowing your smartphone to record multi-frame 4K HDR video and helps capture the frames at different exposures. Plus, it intelligently fuses them into a single video stream in a real-time manner.

Want hand-free support from virtual voice assistants? Well, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000C can enable your smartphone to catch multiple trigger words to wake up virtual assistants, such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, from the same smartphone.

And as per a report, MediaTek Dimensity 1000C has been reported to perform better than Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. Therefore, I think this mid-range smartphone processor at a lower cost surely deserves a shot from the customers.
