Alcatel Smart Tab 7: Smart as a Tablet

Not every time we wish to buy products that are simply the best. Because what occurs as the best would also cost the best. And this is why sometimes you want something a little less than the best that suits the situation.

Perhaps this was the major reason behind the design of Alcatel Smart Tab 7 which is meant for light and medium uses and offers you a complete worth to your money. The smart tablet is just $80 in price (and I know this is less than even a budget smartphone).

However, this smart tablet by TCL Communications has been designed keeping in mind the needs of kids and elderly people, and as you read along, you would get to know the reason behind the thought.

Alcatel Smart Tab 7: Look and Feel

Alcatel Smart Tab 7 is a “smart tablet” that measures about 176 x 126 x 12 mm and weighs about 268g. The tablet comes with a built-in kickstand that allows you to keep it erect when you feel too lazy to use your hands.

The Alcatel Smart Tab 7 has a screen size of 7” and this is close to an average smartphone these days. You need to believe that a lot of smartphones these days occur with the same screen size and it may be difficult to differentiate. The device has a TFT touchscreen with a display resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels. The screen to body ratio is about 62.2 percent with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The camera section of the smart tablet is not something that Alcatel would like to boast about. It has a VGA rear camera and a 2MP front camera, which is quite reasonable for the video calls.

Overall, I have no bones to pick with either the camera or the display because of the low price.

Alcatel Smart Tab 7: Power and Performance

Alcatel Smart Tab 7 is powered by a MediaTek MT8167D chipset that is quad-core in nature and has a primary clock speed of 1.3GHz. It also has an IMG GE8300 as its GPU and Android 9 as its OS support. Besides, the smart tablet has 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It also has a 2590mAh battery to keep you going for almost a day with normal uses.

So as I said, Alcatel Smart Tab 7 is meant for the normal uses by kids and elderly people.

Alcatel Smart Tab 7: My Review

Alcatel Smart Tab 7 is not something that would excite you all of a sudden with its features. However, as far as the price of the tablet is concerned, I would rather call it a good device.

It can easily fit in your back pocket of jeans and you can enjoy your favorite TV shows or movies, making it a perfect entertaining portable tablet. Moreover, the tablet provides dual speakers with high quality, which offers a cinematic experience.

This is one of the best, budget-friendly objects to offer you your kids and it also has a kid’s mode that enables guardians to keep control of screen limits. You can monitor and authorize a kid’s activity with this mode. No doubt, you can stay in control even when your kiddo has this tablet in his/her hands.

About the safety to the eyes of the kids and even the adults, the Alcatel Smart Tab 7 tablet provides you with eye care that reduces blue light affecting the eyes of the users dramatically. What’s really smart is that the screen of this tablet alerts you of the time you have been using the tablet, so you can now take a break.

So this smart tablet from Alcatel is not a bad deal at all at the low price. If you want a tab for light uses without even lightening your pocket much, Alcatel Smart Tab 7 is a smart move.
